At this year's ComicCon, Ubisoft revealed that the PC version of Assassin's Creed 3 would support Direct X11 and take advantage of its many eye-pleasing features. While we're still waiting on a specific breakdown of those features, we did learn a bit more about the PC version of AC3 when Ubisoft released the minimum system specs this morning.
Posting on the official Ubisoft Support page, the minimum PC requirements were revealed. Of note, AC3 will not support Windows XP, a confirmation of Ubisoft's intention to make it faster and leaner with Direct X11 support.
